4.2.3 Cable cross-sections and protection elements

The power circuit must be protected with gl (IEC 269) or M type fuses (IEC 127) with a rating of 0.5 to 2

A. A circuit breaker or equivalent device must be used to connect and disconnect all of the unit's control

circuits from the power supply network. The switch must be installed on the unit and be easy to access.

The power circuit and voltage circuit must be connected with cables that have a minimum cross-section of

1.5 mm

. The secondary cables of the current transformer (CT) must have a minimum cross-section of

2.5 mm

. For distances between the CT and the regulator greater than 25 m, this cross-section must be

increased by 1 mm

for every 10 m.
